Capacity building of government institutions regarding explosives within the ASGM sector

Monday 29 and Wednesday 31 of July 2024, were training moments for employees of various government institutes, among others, charged with monitoring the small-scale gold sector and promoting environmentally responsible mining technology. The aim of this training was to teach or increase the participants' knowledge about the different types of explosives that are used during mining in the small-scale gold mining sector. The different types that are used in small-scale gold mining in Suriname were also discussed. A total of 21 people participated in this training.
