National inception meeting soil restoration project of TAUW BV

The EMSAGS Project in collaboration with the Dutch organization TAUW bv, Wageningen University and Research, Boudewijn Fokke Soil Consultancy, and the Anton de Kom University of Suriname, is carrying out a project regarding soil restoration of abandoned small-scale gold mining areas. In this context, a national inception meeting was held on April 8, 2024. During this meeting, stakeholders were informed about the project and the pilot site, at Compagniekreek in the Brokopondo district.
