Agroforestry training at Compagniekreek

In collaboration with the EMSAGS project, the Foundation Center for Agricultural Research in Suriname (CELOS) is carrying out an agroforestry project in Brownsweg and Compagniekreek. In this context, farmers from the village of Compagniekreek are trained in the basic techniques of agroforestry. The participants will learn a minimum of ten (10) basic agroforestry techniques over a period of six (6) months. The learning by doing concept will be used. The first training took place on June 12, 2024, in Compagniekreek and the number of participants was 12 (10 women and 2 men).
