Call for Consultancy

The Ministry of Natural Resources in collaboration with the National Environmental Authority (NMA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are engaged in the multi-year project Improving Environmental Management in the Mining Sector of Suriname, with Emphasis on Artisanal and Small-Scale Gold Mining (EMSAGS).
The EMSAGS project will support the government, through the Ministry of Natural Resources and the National Environmental Authority (NMA), to develop a RMSAP for the reduction of the environmental impacts of ASGM in the interior of Suriname.

The EMSAGS project is now seeking a consortium of consultants to design a Responsible Mining Strategy and Action Plan (RMSAP) for Suriname for the reduction of the environmental impacts of ASGM in the interior of Suriname.   
The Request for Proposal, Terms of Reference (ToR) and Personal History Form for the abovementioned consultancy can be downloaded from the website www.emsags.org or requested via [email protected].
Interested consortiums who meet the criteria mentioned in the TOR can send their application by email, no later than June 30th, 2025, at 00:00 hrs. Suriname time to
[email protected].
The subject title of the email should read: Application for design of RMSAP”.
